Here at Sophie’s Stars we know that the friends and loved ones of people with a cancer diagnosis are wonderful people. They are often found transporting people to appointments, providing friendship and support, and helping around the house or with childcare. We want to show how appreciated they are by gifting them a small box of treats, a Sophie’s Smile box. This is a way to say thank you, when words are hard to find or just don’t say what you want them to.
We know that the effects of a cancer diagnosis are felt by many more than just the person diagnosed. Sophie felt this and was often asking how we were, and thanking us for the support we gave her. We know these boxes would have made her smile. Sophie often lit up the room with her smile and we want to share her infectious smile by sending people a Sophie’s Smile box.
Who is eligible?
Anybody who supports someone else with a cancer diagnosis.
Who is it for?
- If you have cancer and have someone amazing in your life that has really helped you, it’s for them.
- If you know someone with cancer, but don’t have cancer yourself, it’s for you.
- If you know someone who provides support to someone else with cancer, it’s for them.
How do we get a box?
Boxes will be gifted to people on personal request. We will also distribute to hospices, hospitals and community settings.

What is in the box?
Each box will contain approximately 5 small items. These will vary based on stocks, but will include items such as edible treats, toiletries, self-care items, candles, stationery and keepsakes.
