Our community of supportive stars – one of our primary aims is to enable loved ones, siblings or close relatives of cancer patients to interact. By creating a peer to peer support community we hope to develop a space where people understand your thoughts and feelings, and ultimately enable friendships that we hope will last a lifetime.
Supportive star events – we hope to create events where people can meet up, talk, cry and laugh. These can be to discuss their situation or simply be a time to escape from life for a few hours. We plan to arrange walks, activity based sessions and even longer weekend workshops. These will be a mix of social and educational events. Of course this aspect of our work is COVID-19 dependent!
Advice and support – we plan to provide advice and support on all aspects of a cancer diagnosis or treatment. We can talk from experience, provide links to local services or go and find an answer for you! We will always be as helpful as possible.
Bereavement services – whilst we are not a bereavement charity, we will help you find support if this service is needed. We understand that searching for bereavement support is difficult, and sometimes it’s just easier if someone can step in and help you find the information you are looking for.
